Deus Natura is represented by the World Tree or the Tree of Life. This is an archetype recognized in many cultures as a life force that unites all of the spheres of existence. The image above is of its instantiation in Norse mythology, Yggdrasil, which cradles the Nine Worlds in its roots and branches. The original at right was drawn by Lorenz Frølich in 1895. It aptly captures the belief that the Divine and Nature are one.

Genesis 2:9 tells us that there was a tree of life in the garden of Eden; those who had eaten of that tree would have had eternal life. It got scant notice; Adam and Eve were more interested in defying God by eating the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They ate from the wrong tree.
